Biography

Once upon a time Jane was social worker in and around Glasgow.  During a period of extended leave she worked with a mission agency in Croatia for 14 months, returning to Scotland with a desire to enter some kind of ‘full time Christian work’.

That meant training and (rather reluctantly) she committed herself to two years theological study.  She went, for these ‘two years’, to GBC in 1996 and was unable to find the exit door!  She stayed on for honours, graduating the first year of ICC, and then did a PhD at the University of St Andrews.

The subject of her PhD thesis was Memory In The New Creation.  This is a response to the suggestion by Croatian theologian, Miroslav Volf, that we will forget our most painful memories in heaven.  She argues that memories will not be erased but will be healed and redeemed.

Jane is an elder in Cardonald Parish Church and regularly does pulpit supply in various churches in Glasgow and West Lothian.
